Entrevista con Ani Torres, propietaria de Pluma de Obsidiana
¿Qué es Pluma de Obsidiana?
Nace en el 2006 con la finalidad de crear vestuario escénico, contribuyo mucho en el teatro, trabajado para varias compañías y todo nace a partir de eso y hacer ropa casual.
¿De dónde viene el nombre?
Obsidiana porque es algo pesado y pluma por que es algo ligero y que puedes portar, que se sienta, que se vea y que te sientas más ligera a la hora de usarlo, en la antigüedad las plumas se usaban como un alto rango por los prehispánicos. Algo que puedas portar que sea ligero pero que pese a la vez.
¿Qué te inspiró a tener tu propio negocio?
Querer crecer, darme a conocer con una imagen, el tener algo que me represente, en este caso la marca, eso siempre hace que se vea un poco más profesional tu proyecto.
¿Cómo llegaste a Jardín 127?
Somos una comunidad de gente que hace cosas aquí en Guanajuato, empresas pequeñas, somos varios amigos que nos juntamos y Toño nos brindó este espacio, así fue como llegamos.
¿Qué diferencia a Pluma de Obsidiana de cualquier otra marca de ropa escénica?
Porque también le doy un plus a la ropa que hago, que siempre se trate de usar de diferentes formas, que no solo sea una sola prenda, trato de diseñar que sean multifacéticas. Que sea práctico y que a partir de esa prensa qué más puedes hacer.
¿Cuál es tu parte favorita de tener tu propio negocio?
La creación, veo las telas y me empiezo a imaginar cómo le puedo dar la forma, cómo va a quedar la textura, la caída de la tela, eso me emociona mucho cuando estoy creando una prenda.
¿Qué consejo le darías a alguien que quiere empezar a emprender?
Que crea mucho en su proyecto que toda su energía la aplique a esa realización, a partir de uno es como empieza a fluir, si tú no crees en tu proyecto nadie te lo va a creer.

What is Pluma de Obsidiana?
It was born in 2006 with the purpose of creating stage costumes, I contribute a lot in the theater, I have worked for several companies and everything was born from that and making casual clothes.
Where does the name come from?
Obsidian because it is something heavy and feather because it is something light and that you can wear, that feels, looks and feels lighter when you wear it, in ancient times feathers were used as a high rank by the pre-Hispanics. Something that you can wear that is light but heavy at the same time.
What inspired you to have your own business?
To want to grow, to make myself known with an image, to have something that represents me, in this case the brand, that always makes your project look a little more professional.
How did you come to Jardín 127?
We are a community of people who do things here in Guanajuato9, small businesses, we are several friends who got together and Toño gave us this space, that's how we arrived.
What makes Pluma de Obsidiana different from any other stage clothing brand?
Because I also give a plus to the clothes I make, I always try to use them in different ways, not just one garment, I try to design them to be multifaceted. That it's practical and from that press what else can you do.
What is your favorite part of having your own business?
The creation, I see the fabrics and I start to imagine how I can give it the shape, how the texture will be, the fall of the fabric, that excites me a lot when I'm creating a garment.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a business?
To believe a lot in their project and apply all their energy to that realization, from one is how it starts to flow, if you do not believe in your project no one will believe you.
