Entrevista con Madaí Lira, Artista.
¿Cómo describirías el estilo de tus obras?
La inspiración que tengo viene del impresionismo, se va mucho también a la parte abstracta, es una combinación que yo hago en donde meto todas las formas que me gustan pero lo combino con la naturaleza, lo he hecho siempre, me siento muy cómoda mezclando y siento que me da ese espacio que yo busco.
¿Qué fue lo que te impulsó a empezar a hacer arte?
Viene desde mi familia, de la parte de mi papá, mi abuelo era pintor, el era más del realismo pero yo lo veía desde chiquita y me llamaba la atención y de la parte de mi mamá también, mi abuelo el era más impresionista, fue una combinación, desde la carrera, la preparatoria, siempre tuve su influencia y ahorita con la pandemia se detonó y dije, ahora es cuando puedo empezar a crear todo lo que tenía pensado.
¿Cómo combinas tu carrera de Diseño de interiores con tu práctica de Arte?
Dentro de diseño de interiores se aplica muchísimo la técnica, una de las formas en que le puedes transmitir al cliente es a través de dibujos, pinturas, acuarelas, etc. Es una herramienta que yo utilizo y dentro de un diseño de interiores, yo hago los cuadros y puedo integrarlos a este.
¿Cómo ves tu carrera en un futuro?
Me lo imagino en que pueda seguir combinando esta parte, no centrarme tal cual en el interiorismo, sino seguir yo plasmando lo que yo hago en lienzos o artículos que puedo integrar, pero que yo pueda seguir haciendo lo que me gusta, tener un taller más grande, ir avanzando en esa parte, pero más centrado en la pintura.
¿Qué consejo le darías a alguien que quiere empezar su carrera en el arte?
Plasmar lo que te gusta, sí vas a encontrar gente que le va a gustar lo que haces, luego he visto muchas veces que no se avanza porque estás tratando de hacer algo que le gusta a todos, siento que haciendo lo que a ti te gusta vas a encontrar mucho camino.

How would you describe the style of your work?
The inspiration I have comes from impressionism, it also goes a lot to the abstract part, it is a combination that I do where I put all the shapes that I like but I combine it with nature, I have always done it, I feel very comfortable mixing and I feel that it gives me that space that I am looking for.
What prompted you to start making art?
It comes from my family, from my dad's side, my grandfather was a painter, he was more into realism, but I saw him since I was little and he called my attention and from my mom's side too, my grandfather was more of an impressionist, it was a combination, since my career, high school, I always had their influence and now with the pandemic it detonated and I said, now is when I can start creating everything I had in mind.
How do you combine your interior design career with your art practice?
Within interior design, technique is applied a lot, one of the ways in which you can transmit to the client is through drawings, paintings, watercolors, etc. It is a tool that I use and within an interior design, I make the paintings and I can integrate them into it.
How do you see your career in the future?
I imagine being able to continue combining this part, not focusing on interior design as such, but continuing to capture what I do on canvases or articles that I can integrate, but that I can continue doing what I like, having a larger workshop, advancing in that part, but more focused on painting.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their career in art?
To express what they like, I have seen many times that you don't make progress because you are trying to do something that everyone likes, I feel that by doing what you like you are going to find a long way.
