¿Qué es La Josefina?
La Josefina está creada a partir de un sueño que tuve de emprender algo nuevo, un lugar que fuera especial, tanto en atención al cliente como en concepto, porque es dedicado al cuidado de manos y pies, exclusivamente.
¿De dónde viene el nombre de La Josefina?
Está dedicado a mi mamá, ése es su nombre. Además, me parece que es un nombre antiguo y que va acorde a la casa. Presa 97 tiene un estilo art nouveau que complementa el concepto..
¿Por qué escogiste Presa 97?
Es una zona muy linda, tranquila y antigua, pero no lo planeé. Cuando conocimos la casa, nos gustó mucho; el estilo que es único aquí en Guanajuato. Me motivó la idea de tener un espacio diferente a los demás, que pueda existir dentro de una ciudad tan emblemática e histórica como ésta.
¿Qué es lo que te inspira o te motiva a ser dueña de tu propio negocio?
Los sueños que todos tenemos por cumplir, por crecer, por tener una mejor calidad de vida y, sobre todo, hacer lo que nos gusta. Me inspira ser parte del cuidado de las personas. Quiero que se sientan inspiradas también, que sientan las buenas energías de este lugar lindo y agradable.
¿Cuál es tu parte favorita de ser dueña de un negocio?
Poder organizar mis tiempos de acuerdo a mis necesidades, vacaciones, compromisos familiares, etc. Puedo planear y usar mi tiempo sin tener que recurrir a un jefe.
Ser dueño de tu tiempo, yo digo que es uno de los más grandes beneficios.
¿Qué es lo más gratificante de trabajar directamente con las personas?
Entablar una relación de amistad con ellas. Se da mucho que la gente viene a relajarse y, obviamente, se presta a la plática, empiezan a sentirse en confianza para soltar cosas. Surgen muchas amistades nuevas. Es bonito conocer gente e historias nuevas cada día.
¿Qué consejo le darías a alguien que quisiera iniciar su propio negocio o qué aprendizajes has tenido en tu camino de emprendedora?
Les diría que no teman enfrentarse a sus miedos. Inevitablemente, tenemos temor de que las cosas cambien o de experimentar cosas nuevas. Nos preguntamos una y otra vez: ¿podrá funcionar? Pero si no lo haces, nunca vas a saber si de verdad funcionaría.
Entonces, yo digo que hay que enfrentar el miedo y echarle ganas, hacer lo que te gusta y poner todo tu empeño para que las cosas prosperen.
Estos son mis dos consejos: Hay que enfrentar el miedo y correr el riesgo.

What is La Josefina?
La Josefina was created from a dream I had to start something new, a place that would be special, both in customer service and concept, because it is dedicated exclusively to the care of hands and feet.
Where does the name La Josefina come from?
It is dedicated to my mom; that is her name. Besides, I think it’s an old name that matches the house. Presa 97 has an Art Nouveau style that complements the concept.
Why did you choose Presa 97?
It’s a very beautiful, quiet, and old area, but I didn’t plan it. When we saw the house, we liked it a lot; the style is unique here in Guanajuato. I was motivated by the idea of having a space different from the others, one that can exist within such an emblematic and historic city as this.
What inspires or motivates you to own your own business?
The dreams that we all have to fulfill our lives, to grow, to have a better quality of life, and above all, to do what we love. I am inspired by the act of the caring of people. I want them to feel inspired as well, to feel the good energy of this beautiful and pleasant place.
What is your favorite part of owning a business?
Being able to organize my time according to my needs, holidays, family commitments, etc. I can plan and use my time without having to answer to a boss.
Owning your time, I say, is one of the greatest benefits.
What is the most rewarding part of working directly with people?
Building a friendship with them. People often come to relax, and naturally, they start to talk and feel comfortable with sharing things. Many new friendships arise. It’s nice to meet new people and hear new stories every day.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own business, or what lessons have you learned on your entrepreneurial journey?
I would tell them not to be afraid to face their fears. Inevitably, we fear change or trying new things. We ask ourselves over and over: Will it work? But if you don’t try, you’ll never know if it would really work.
So, I say face your fear and put in the effort, do what you love, and put all your energy into making things prosper.
These are my two pieces of advice: face the fear and take the risk.
