Del 27 de Febrero al 27 de Marzo, en Galería Vitral, se reúnen un grupo de mujeres que presentan su trabajo en diferentes estilos de pintura y fotografía e invitan al público a reflexionar sobre el movimiento feminista y su lucha histórica.
“Así como el micelio se extiende en una red de filamentos que se ramifican y expanden para conformar lo que, a los ojos humanos pareciese una fina telaraña y cuyo papel es esencial para la descomposición y la simbiosis en los bosques; de la misma manera, a lo largo de la historia, se entretejen los movimientos sociales para la unión de sociedades más justas basadas en la solidaridad y cooperación. El movimiento feminista, no es la excepción. Y como cada 8 de marzo, las mujeres guanajuatenses nos congregamos para visibilizar, en nuestro quehacer diario, este arduo camino hacia la igualdad.
Somos conscientes de que el desarrollo de la humanidad no surge de procesos individuales aislados, sino en el marco de comunidades, de la tribu, el colectivo. Y hemos encontrado en la lucha feminista esa identidad que ha llevado históricamente a las mujeres a conquistar derechos hacia su liberación. El sendero ha sido sinuoso y las mujeres del siglo XXI hemos heredado la lucha para hacerle resistencia al sistema opresor.
Como mujeres sensibles de su entorno, vemos en el arte el camino ideal para la transformación, no solo individual, sino social. Asumimos que nuestro momento es el presente y nuestras armas son las palabras y el arte, y para ello, intentamos dar un lugar simbólico a todas aquellas mujeres silenciadas por la desigualdad económica, de género, racializadas o marginadas.
En este breve recorrido que hacemos a través de 13 obras que abarcan distintos estilos de pintura y fotografía, invitamos a los espectadores a la reflexión consciente del movimiento feminista y su lucha histórica, lo que hoy en día nos permite, expresar libremente nuestros posicionamientos políticos y nos motiva a alentar a otras mujeres a seguir conquistando espacios de igualdad para construir un mundo (parafraseando a los zapatistas) en el que quepan muchos mundos.
Resistimos y trascendemos en nuestras obras que fueron enmarcadas en un espacio íntimo, pero que también se proyectan como ventanas abiertas a la inacabable construcción del ser femenino. Y no olvidamos que en esta red humana tan viva y compleja como el micelio de los bosques, hilvanamos todas las voces de las mujeres que nos precedieron y nos precederán en el camino artístico, humano y social.

From February 27 to March 27, at Galeria Vitral, a group of women present their work in different styles of painting and photography and invite the public to reflect on the feminist movement and its historical fight.
“Just as mycelium spreads in a network of filaments that branch and expand to form what, to human eyes, looks like a fine spider web and whose role is essential for decomposition and symbiosis in forests, so too, throughout history, social movements are interwoven for the union of more just societies based on solidarity and cooperation. The feminist movement is no exception. And like every March 8th, women from Guanajuato gather to make visible, in our daily work, this arduous road to equality.
We are aware that the development of humanity does not arise from isolated individual processes, but within the framework of communities, the tribe, the collective. And we have found in the feminist struggle that identity that has historically led women to conquer rights towards their liberation. The path has been winding and the women of the 21st century have inherited the struggle to resist the oppressive system.
As women who are sensitive to their environment, we see art as the ideal path to transformation, not only individually, but also socially. We assume that our moment is the present and our weapons are words and art, and for this, we try to give a symbolic place to all those women silenced by economic inequality, gender, racialized or marginalized.
In this brief journey through 13 works that cover different styles of painting and photography, we invite viewers to consciously reflect on the feminist movement and its historical struggle, which today allows us to freely express our political positions and motivates us to encourage other women to continue conquering spaces of equality to build a world (to paraphrase the Zapatistas) in which many worlds fit.
We resist and transcend in our works that were framed in an intimate space, but that are also projected as open windows to the endless construction of the feminine being. And we do not forget that in this human network as alive and complex as the mycelium of the forests, we thread all the voices of the women who preceded us and will precede us in the artistic, human and social path. ”
